For Pet Parents Saying Goodbye
There comes a moment when the body begins to release, but love holds steady. A moment when presence becomes more tender, more spacious, more luminous. This is not an ending—it is a sacred passage. A transformation. A return.
When your beloved companion begins their transition, the world may feel quieter, slower, more tender. This blessing is offered as a companion to your heart—a way to honor the sacredness of this passage, and the immeasurable love that surrounds it.
The Blessing
May you feel my love in every breath, every touch, every glance.
May your body be at ease, your spirit unburdened, your heart held gently.
May you be surrounded by light—soft, warm, and guiding.
May you know that you are cherished beyond words, and that our bond is eternal.
May your journey be peaceful, and your arrival radiant.
And may the love between us continue to shine—a light that never fades.
 How to Use This Blessing
Speak it aloud during quiet moments, or whisper it as you hold them
Offer it during a final walk, cuddle, or ceremony
Light a candle, place a hand on their heart, or simply breathe with them
Repeat it as often as needed—it is a balm, not a prescription
A Note to You
You are not alone. This love, this grief, this sacred farewell—it is part of the great tapestry of life. Your presence is a gift. Your devotion is a blessing. And your companion knows, deeply and truly, that they are loved.
Let yourself cry. Let yourself remember. Let yourself be held by the love that never leaves.
And when you are ready, know that I am here to support you in connecting with your beloved companion in spirit. Their essence remains near—gentle, wise, and full of love.
A Gentle Ritual
After your companion has transitioned, you might create a small altar with their photo, a candle, and a symbol of their spirit—a feather, a pawprint, horseshoe, collar or a favorite toy. Or you could create a sacred space in your backyard - plant a tree or some flowers in their honor. Speak their name. Offer gratitude. Let the light guide your heart.
If your heart feels called to connect, you’re welcome to reach out. I hold this space with reverence and care.
With love and sacred presence,
Tanja
